Give yourself permission to quiet the mind and body in this Restorative class. Restorative yoga classes consist of a small number of postures held for 5-10 minutes each. All postures are seated or lying on the floor, and props are used extensively to build the floor to the body, inviting the body to release all tension. Slowing down in this manner taps into the parasympathetic nervous system, giving the body a much needed rest from the constant state of stress the modern lifestyle creates. Common props include: yoga blocks (can use stacks of books or other firm block-like objects, blankets for padding and covering, and bolsters (can use firm pillows)
Classes cancelled greater than 24 hours prior to class start time will receive a full refund. Classes cancelled within 24 hours of class start time will receive a credit valid toward a future class.
